Generating a memory map (MMAP)
A memory map — MMAP for short — is a small text file that tells the loader how the gaming PC's physical memory is laid out. With it, the DMA card can skip regions that contain nothing useful and reach the game faster. Most people never need one: if Fave DMA connects and everything shows up, skip this page.
Generate an MMAP when you see slow loading progress, the connection dropping mid-game, or ESP and aimbot elements that refuse to appear. Always create it on the gaming PC, because the map has to describe the machine the card is plugged into. Regenerate it after a Windows update, a BIOS change or new RAM.
Creating the map
1) On the gaming PC, download RAMMap from Microsoft Sysinternals and unzip it. Close every game and anti-cheat first, and do the download in a private/incognito window or clear your browser history afterwards.
2) Run RAMMap64.exe as administrator. Double-check you are on the gaming PC, not the second PC.
3) In RAMMap choose File → Save and store the .RMP file somewhere easy to find, such as the desktop.
4) Open the Fave DMA loader on the second PC and use the built-in MMAP generator (Tools → Generate MMAP) to convert the .RMP file. The conversion runs locally; nothing is uploaded, and the file holds no personal data anyway.
5) Copy the result to the second PC by whatever route is convenient — Discord DM to yourself, a USB stick, a shared folder.
6) Save it as mmap.txt in the same folder as the Fave DMA loader. The filename must match exactly, or the loader will not pick it up.
7) Launch the loader. The console should now say Connecting to your DMA with a MMap.
If the loader ignores the file
Nine times out of ten the file is named or placed wrong. Windows hides file extensions by default, so mmap.txt can silently become mmap.txt.txt — turn on File name extensions in Explorer's View menu and check. The file also has to sit next to the loader executable, not in a subfolder. If problems come back later after hardware or Windows changes, just repeat the steps above.
